Halloween and time for........

                                                       Happy Halloween all!

So we have made it to Halloween...sure I like this time of the year. But oh I always move forward fast. Not as fast as your local malls or CVS. Yea sure you walk in to them October 1st and see all the fall stuff and things for Trick or Treat..then a week later you see all that fall stuff go to 50% off and oh look a Christmas tree is up and all nicely decorated! I alwasys do the dubble take look as "what the heck" then click my heels to bring me back to what month is this and did Halloween pass already and it's Christmas time already?? No, they just ram all holidays as one! But if I see the dang Easter bunny  in with Halloween I will become a crazy woman..... ok ok back to what I was getting at....Once all the little kids have gotten all their goodies tonight (if weather permits)I will take all the pumpkins down and put out all my snowmen(women). I may hold back or refrain myself as I tend to get sick of looking at all the winter decor by the end of November. Last year at this time my husband was in Germany. I got bored and rearranged the house and had all the Christmas things out. With in a few weeks I was ready to put it all away. The bells around the dogs were driving me nutz!! The Santa on the door was killing me because it is a count down from Dec. first to Christmas day! Could not move the darn day count down because it was ....dah November! But I don't think it's me....It's the stores and the raido! As of November first the Christmas songs start playing and you walk in the mall and you hear it and see ALL the Christmas decorations! Maybe it is me..no, it's not! But don't get me wrong...I love all the movies they start to play and my vaforate one is on at least once a week!
Christmas vacation! Dah all American favoriate!

And who can forget The Christmas Story!!!!!  All time American movie!  plays 24 hours over and over and over!!!  AND yes I do watch it a FEW times on the eve and Christmas day!

AND>>>>>>>>last but not least....It's A Wonderful Life.  This movie I can watch all year round! No, I am not crazy I just love that movie.

OMG am I nut about Christmas or what??  No, just love the season.
 Tis the season....
Now the down side about all this winter fun and joy....is the food and treats. Oh yea and a family COOKIE exchange!!!!  By the way....Katie's are the best!  See here You can also see all the other great recipes she has to!  Katie, I hope your making the Oreo balls again...yum!
Don't the winter holidays make you want to eat and eat and yup eat??  Well I know I do!  No control at all.  I have not even lost last winters weight gain!  Oh well we are ALL to Eat,drink and be Merry!!
Ok I guess now that I have said all of this...I am now in the season mood.  Well...maybe.  Give me a few weeks and I will be full blowen in the mood for all this jingle jingle all the way stuff.  Nah who am I kidding!  I am going to deck the halls now even if I do get sick of seeing all the snowmen and santa stuff around the house and the holidy music..... but the best thing about all this is that I can and will go get more new candles..haha love this time of year. Love the smell of nice holiday candles burning in my home....Best one as I have mentioned before are the wood wick candles.  OMG they are the best!!!  The sound of a fire goiing and they have great fragrance that will fill a whole house and last a long time (unless you burn then every day as I do).  You can get them at Halmark or Here.  Go, now!  Get you a few...You will love them!  They are great on a cold evening with the house quiet and a good book!

Have a great and safe trick or treat all.
IF you have not heard, a child was struck by a car in Marengo, Ohio last night as they had there annual trick-or-treat.  Please keep your eyes open when you drive down the streets as children are walking the neighbor streest!

Well good morning all and Happy Tuesday.

Pam and her Hubby!!!

Tuesday is going to be a GREAT day for a wonderful friend of mine.....Her name is Pam, she has been a hairdresser for several years.....  Today is a new road to a new chapter in her life.  Today is when she will take over the business from her best friend and boss Sharon.  Sharon's Beauty Works has been a well knowen established hair salon for over 40 years in the old Gahanna, Ohio.  As Pam takes this BIG step forward as a business owner her wonderful husband stands by her side to make sure she will reach her dream of running a beauty shop.  I have knowen Pam and her husband for over eight years now(Great fun loving couple) and they will do absolutely anything for one another.  Pam has wanted to run her own beauty shop for quite some years..I am so proud of her and I hope the best on her new journey.  Oh wait....does this mean I have to start paying to get my hair done now??  Eek omg what ever will I do lol.

As she moves forward with this new journey I will stand beside.  Hold her up when she feels overwhelmed.
I will pull her up when she needs that extra umph....or give a light slap to wake her up and remind her that she can do this and will be grat at doing it.  Pam is a go get'er hard worker....Work hard and play hard.  I mean come on with  her working 12 + hrs a day and making sure dinner is served and house is clean...I have never...NEVER seen Pam just have a Pam day!  She does not take a day to rest...and let me tell ya at her age she can/does run laps around me!  Either I am just lazy or too dang fat to keep up her.....I will stick with lazy!  She is up at 4am every morning just as I am...but she will have her house clean top to bottom before heading to work...as I drink my coffee being lazy watching Roseann or checking my phone (playing Pet rescue)every morning......HELLO ....sit please!  Even when I join her on a tuesday evening (her normal day off/girls evening) she is going non stop.....Summer,Winter,Fall and spring....she finds things to do ALL the time.  When she calls/text to see if I want to come over for a chat it's always a race.  She is up on the go go go..She will do anything for anyone and has a heart of gold and a personality to go with it...leaving no time for herself..Well unless we are playing cornhole!!!
Congrats Pam, I am so proud of you for following your dream and goals.

So, if your in the neck of the woods around Columbus stop in for a cut, color or any hairstyle!

She's got PuPpernalitY!

How many fur children do you know that has a fun, loving, crazy and human like personality??
This little girl is 3 years and nine months of sass.  She has spunk people and a lot of  puppernality!!!!
I mean come on what puppy have you ever had or been around that comes to you after feeding to get a pat on the back to be burped??  Well meet Miss Maggie May.  She is one of a kind...and I do mean one of a kind!  Yes my fur child puts her two paws on my lap every morning right after she is done eating to be burped.  And let me tell y'all this chick can out burp any man!  My husband can hear her from another room. She walks in on me in the shower...loves to play hide(always find her in the tub).  She has to do everything my husband or I are doing.  For goodness sakes she will snore if she hears Sarah(other fur child) or my husband snore.  Now bed time...yea that is a whole other story in it's self.  She amazes me every night...first it's a hand vs blanket game...she loves that then once it's time to quiet down and sleep she will plow here way under the blanket. it may take her a few turns and tugs and pushes before she has found a spot under the blanket with us.  She has become a pro at suckering mommy into anything.  Her first asthma attack i freaked out!  But now I never know if it's real or if she is pulling my leg to just get me all worried and get her cuddle time in.  Let me tell you this sassy one is a cuddle bug all the way...more so with my husband than me. I am just the one that feeds and burps her!  She is a daddy's girl all the way!  Makes me sad.  But anyway she is still the little one that stole my heart March 16th at just a little 5 week lil pup.  Most days when i am at work I wish I was a fly on the wall to see what she does all day...more than likely sleep..but hey who knows what they do all day when your gone??  But when Josh and I get home it's pick on poor 'ol Sarah he 12 year old sister...

Yup...I'm Maggie the silly one,,
And yes I have to me on my mommy's lap when she is ath the compuler..

Love this baby!

I would never trade her in for anything!  She has brought me so much laughter in my life.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

We are all thinking of going on a long drive to 7 floors of hell...or The Dent Schoolhouse that was told be have 58 killed in the early 1800's.  Schoolhouse, rumored to be haunted by a crazy janitor who attacked school children, now he attacks anyone.
The Story of The Dent School House
CINCINNATI- In 1894 the Dent Public School was open. Teaching all grades kindergarten through 12th grade, the school was seen as the ideal establishment to send the local school children.  The school was equipped with the finest teachers, cafeteria workers, and janitorial staff for miles.
The school was very successful and thought highly upon.  But in 1942 several students, known for their “disruption in the class room”, mysteriously vanished.  They were last seen at the Dent Public School.  The Dent police began an investigation and came to the conclusion that they must be runaways.  Two years later, 1945, four students went missing in October.  Local police were baffled as to what was happening to the students.  Rumors started to spread that the local children disappearing had something to do with the school.
School remained as normal but rumors kept coming out about the missing kids.  It wasn't until 1952 when three more students were not seen after school.  Students at the public school began to complain about a strange smell that was coming from the basement.  When Charlie, the head of janitorial services, was asked about the smell he said it was the pipes clogging up.  After a couple weeks the smell subsided, but new rumors spread that Charlie the janitor had something to do about the local kids disappearances.
In October of 1955, more than seven students vanished with out a trace.  The local kids complained about a smell that was coming from the basement that was actually causing some children to pass out.  Community members of Dent rallied together and stormed up to the Dent Public School.  The angry mob bust down the large doors of the school house and proceeded to go into the basement of the school.   The local rioters were shocked at the grizzly sight that was strung throughout the janitor’s basement.
The basement was covered with the decaying remains of the missing students.  Bodies had been sealed in barrels, wedged behind the brick walls of the basement, and left in sanitary tubs to decay forever.  A search for the Janitor went over two weeks, but he was never found.  The school was closed shortly after the discovery.
The old school house is now said to be haunted with the roaming spirits of the children that were “taken care of” by the Janitor.  Rumors are that the Janitor came back after several years of the school house being closed.  His body was never found, but his spirit is still said to clean the old building.  The spirit is also said to have “taken care of” local trespassers that try sneak a peak at his home in the basement.

An old shot of the front of the school house

There is a house that I would love to see but it's not a running house.  Still family owned but empty.

The Mudhouse Mansion
Read about here

I love to hear about scary places.  Can I see them all?  I wish!
But with the Mudhouse It is not open for public..dang.   I would love to get a good look inside and what the heck camp out in it and see if  ghost are real..
Might get my Halloween movie weekend on to...
Wrong Turn 1-5!!!

What fun plans do you have for the weekend?  Any Halloween fun trips?
