I'm a fool for SoUp

                                                              Soup for the season!!!
With the colder weather here I am so in to soup.....yummy in the tummy!  And low-FAT!!!  I am all about the low-fat right now.  Soup for slim down...heck yea!!
low-Cooker Black Bean Mushroom Chili;  recipe here
Slow-Cooker Vegetable Chili with Tofu;  recipe  here

And who can  for get how great V8 is for you......I love adding V8 to any of the soups I make. Mix it up using whole-wheat pasta to make a more filling soup such as Orzo.
The thing I find hard is it makes a lot.  I am the only one that likes veggie soups!!  My husband is a meat and potato's kind of man :(.   But making too much means I can freeze my soups and have ready for another cold evening.  I am the kind of cook that cleans out the pantry...so, no I don't have a recipe of my own.
Cabbage, fresh, 1.50 cup, chopped (packaged cole slaw works great)
    Carrots, raw, 3/4 cup, chopped
    Celery, raw, 1 cup, diced
    Garlic, 2 cloves, minced
Onions, raw, 0.50 cup, chopped ( I use 2 onions)
V8 Vegetable Juice, Low Sodium, 3 cups
1 tsp Italian seasoning (MSG Free)
1/4 tsp black pepper or more to taste
Add in any Veggies you like.  I like to put in peas and green beans.
Add all ingredients to medium size pot. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to medium low and simmer until vegetables are soft (est. 30 min.)
You can get great healthy recipes here
And b/c someone put a recipe out there....saying it was low calorie....I will in return tell you all it is low calorie!  Just bless it first and you can enjoy guilt free!
